Etratech Plans Further Expansion Into Medical Equipment and Device Market With ISO 13485 Certification

header01_plc_005Etratech Inc., a global leader in the design, development and manufacture of advanced electronic controls and control systems for major multinational companies, today announced that is registered with quality registrar BSI Canada in pursuit of ISO 13485:2003 certification. This standard certifies that Etratech has established a quality management system that demonstrates its ability to meet the stringent requirements of customers in the medical equipment and device market.

The certification will be complete in December 2014, and arrives on the heels of the company’s achievement of ISO 14000.

Zaid Salim, director of global quality assurance at Etratech, is proud of the achievement. “We are committed to meeting the needs of medical customers by manufacturing their products in a manner that complies with or exceeds industry standards,” says Salim. “Having this certification will assure Etratech customers that we have the credentials required to provide services and products to this sector.”

Etratech designs and manufactures electronic controls for international OEMs across a broad spectrum of industries including automotive, HVAC and security. The addition of ISO 13485 to its impressive list of ISO and TS certifications reinforces Etratech’s commitment to quality and service. It also positions the company for further expansion in the medical device and equipment marketplace.
