Provertha’s QuickLock full-metal hoods for D-Sub connectors with push-pull locking have been tested for vibration and shock by a certified test house. They passed in accordance with DIN EN 61373.
This makes them ideal in transportation and railway applications where the main demands are high mechanical stability, protection against moisture and dirt (IP67) and improved EMI/RFI behaviour. The QuickLock hoods are designed to fulfill all these needs, offering robust protection against mechanical stress and 360 deg shielding using a crimp flange system.
Visual inspection on the specimens after the long-term vibration, function vibration and shock tests could not detect any cracks, chipping, deformation or other mechanical damage. Monitoring of the contacts was realized using a test circuit and a digital storage oscilloscope scanning with 200MHz. No micro interrupts were detected during the tests.
