Avnet Abacus and Murata have extended their 20-year relationship

Murata has signed a pan-European franchise agreement with interconnect, passive, electromechanical and power distributor, Avnet Abacus. The agreement covers Murata’s passive products, building on a 20-year relationship between the two companies. Previously, Avnet Abacus covered selected European territories for Murata passives and held a pan-European agreement for the company’s power products.

Avnet Abacus is particularly enthusiastic about introducing Murata’s ceramic-based components to a wider European audience. VP European marketing, Alan Jermyn, commented: “Our particular focus will be on the application and design in of new products such as SMD pyroelectric infra red sensors, AMR sensors, microblower, timing devices and metal T-cap ranges.”
