Microchip Technology has updated its e-commerce platform with several new mobile-accessible features designed to make it easier to purchase the company’s microcontrollers, mixed-signal, analogue and Flash-IP solutions. The new microchipDirect mobile website includes high-volume quotes, custom programming and ordering flexibility which enables users to check when a delivery will arrive before placing an order.
Director of corporate sales at Microchip Sean Strickler, said: “Consumers expect ease of use on any e-commerce site they visit, whether purchasing consumer goods or semiconductors. microchipDirect meets those expectations by providing a B2C-like experience that allows clients to check product stock quantities, see pricing, track orders or download a data sheet directly from their mobile device.”
Key features of the new site include the ability to add custom code to a microcontroller or memory device via the microchipDirect programming centre. Customers can also apply their approved pricing quote to a programmed part.
