KOE, Industrial LCD manufacturer have announced the introduction of a new high performance 3.5″ TFT display. The TX09D200VM0BAA features a 3:4 aspect ratio, QVGA (240 x 320 pixels) resolution and IPS (in-plane switching) technology to provide highly consistent colour and image performance from all viewing angles and is now available from Data-Modul.
KOE’s Rugged+ modules provide reliable and consistent operation under severe and rigorous conditions found in harsh environment and industrial applications yet deliver exceptional optical performance. The use of IPS technology enables excellent colour saturation, deep black levels and viewing angles of up to 170° degrees in all directions (vertical and horizontal).
A contrast ratio of 900:1 and a backlight brightness rating of 600cd/m² ensure high quality and consistent colour image reproduction. The LED backlight provides a specified 70K hours to 50% brightness lifetime. A 50-pin CMOS interface supports 8-bit RGB data which enables a colour palette of up to 16.7 million colours.
Featuring a fully enclosed metal bezel with integrated mounting fixtures, the 3.5-inch display module has mechanical outline dimensions of 65.7mm (w) x 88.8mm (h) x 9.95mm (d) and an active display area of 53.28mm (w) x 71.04mm (h). Operation in extreme temperature environments is guaranteed with an operating temperature range of -30°C to +85°C and storage temperature range of -40°C to +90°C. The compact 3.5-inch display module weighs just 72g.
The TX09D200VM0BAA is targeted for use in high reliability industrial, medical, marine, automotive and aerospace applications where consistent and guaranteed operation under extreme temperature, mechanical shock and vibration is a necessity. It can, if required, be used in either landscape or portrait mode which creates opportunities for new design implementations.
