Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now shipping the VITA 67 Coaxial Connector solutions from Amphenol SV Microwave. These new connectors meet all the requirements of the VITA 67 connector standard and target high reliability, high density aerospace and defense RF applications.
The Amphenol SV Microwave VITA 67 Coaxial Connectors, available from Mouser Electronics, conform to the VITA 67 quick disconnect coaxial backplane standard for analog and RF interconnect. Quick disconnect coaxial connectors on a backplane or rear panel allow technicians to quickly disconnect and reconnect RF connections, resulting in fast replacement of critical cards which minimizes downtime. In addition, using coaxial connectors for RF signals, as opposed to DIN backplane connectors, results in significantly improved channel?to?channel isolation.
Amphenol’s VITA 67 coaxial connectors provide a rugged and robust interconnect solution that satisfies MIL?STD 810 requirements for shock and vibration while providing a minimal footprint. A unique SV connector retention system provides significant ease of use when assembling or disassembling the connector onto a daughterboard.
These VITA 67 connectors are ideal for high frequency systems as well as applications where space is at a minimum. Return loss is 14dB maximum and isolation is >100dB from DC to 26.5 GHz. The typical engage force per contact is 2.5 lbs. (1.13kg).
Mounting options for the Amphenol VITA 67 connectors include motherboard mounting and plug?in card. Connectors are designed for side?by?side implementation with other VITA 67 hardware and can be cabled to 0.086 inch and smaller diameter coaxial cables.
