Mouser Electronics, Inc. is now shipping the new WaveSurfer 3000 series of oscilloscopes from Teledyne LeCroy. The WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscope series combines the advantages of a fully featured oscilloscope with the additional capabilities of a mixed signal oscilloscope, waveform and function generators, and protocol analyzer. All functions are accessible from an advanced user friendly 10.1″ touch-screen interface, combining features and performance never before seen in oscilloscopes in this class.
The Teledyne LeCroy WaveSurfer 3000 Oscilloscope Series, available from Mouser Electronics, combinesmulti-instrumental test and analyze capabilities with a new intuitive user interface. LeCroy’s new touch screen interface, called MAUI, is designed to be the next generation in user friendly test and display control interfaces. MAUI provides one touch access to frequently used controls. Triggers, measurements, and math functions are easily accessible. Waveforms can be quickly dragged to new locations and details examined with a finger zoom. More importantly, intelligent display features automatically resize and reposition waveforms, measurement results, menus, and other screen elements for easy accessibility and readability.
The WaveSurfer 3000 Oscilloscope series has the built-in capability of a 16?channel mixed-signal oscilloscope, capturing and storing signals for later analysis. A waveform generator also serves as a function generator, reducing test equipment needed on the bench. A protocol analyzer includes serial trigger and decode capability. An advanced active probe interface is flexible enough to measure high voltages, high frequencies, current draw, and differential signals.
Waveforms as fast as 500MHz can be captured with up to 4 Gsps capture rate. The waveform update rate is a fast 130,000 waveforms/second. Up to 16 digital channels can be captured at 500Msps each. The WaveSurfer 3000 has a deep memory depth and can store up to 10 Million signal sampling points per channel (10Mpts/Ch).
Any WaveSurfer 3000 oscilloscope can be upgraded to a higher bandwidth model in the series by a firmware update. Models are upgradable in the field and do not require returning the model to LeCroy.
