Specialist distributor, Charcroft Electronics, has acquired Bowtech Electronics. This extends Charcroft’s product linecard with frequency-control components, temperature sensors, antennae, elapsed time indicators, electrolytic tilt sensors and solenoids as well as DC and gear motors. Both Charcroft and Bowtech are CECC-approved and franchised distributors for Syfer Technology and Novacap, enabling a seamless transfer of orders for these parts
The acquisition was agreed following the retirement of Bowtech managing director, Peter Hunter, who will continue to work closely with Charcroft during the transfer of the Bowtech order-book and also to offer specialist advice for new customers.
Charcroft sales manager, Debbie Rowland, explained: “Like many Charcroft products, Bowtech components are used in specialist applications and therefore need the support of a distributor prepared to offer high levels of service on relatively low volumes.”
